Most military personnel consider a stateside military base to be one of the safest places on earth. The last thing we’re thinking is that an enemy will attack us there. And the last thing we’re thinking is that the enemy will be another person who has taken the oath to lead us, as a commissioned officer does, not to mention a person who has taken an oath to first do no harm.

However, this doctor, this Army Officer apparently felt that another oath–one to Allah–superseded those two. If you’re so smart, tell us what we are to make of that.

By the way, nice stolen base, since Islam isn’t a race, it’s a religion. So yes, your smears are indeed irrational, racialist, and un-American.

This entire piece was a societal commentary, not a military commentary. In fact, most of this is placing a piece of the ‘blame’ on all those who saw the warning signs, heard the threats, and did nothing about it for the fear of being intolerant.

I’m serving with a Muslim right now, and this guy has my back 100%. He’s already offered to be the one to put a bullet in Hasan’s kneecaps, then elbows, thighs, and then… let him bleed out. Why? “This fuc*er just forgot that we’re American’s first and tried to put all of us in a bad position”.

It’s the PR scheme that’ll kick our hindquarters more than any expended rounds will- now, we’ll tear ourselves apart from the inside via any talkshow and water cooler conversation in order to bend over and not be offensive- allowing all the more wiggle room to bring back the next caliphate.

And now the right wing blogs are repeating this smear against loyal American soldiers who are fighting for our freedom. These smears are irrational, racist, and un-American. This is what passes for conservatism these days.

Perhaps you’re joking, but I don’t know of any US military adherents to the above religions who, in the name of their religion, turned on their fellows.

The betrayal aspect of these murders is the most galling. It’s like a father coming home and murdering his family.

But some of us will not submit to a religion based on the alleged ramblings of a pedophile brigand who managed to con people into believing he had a flying horse…
