		<description>I agree, let&#039;s let this go right at this point. No more attention should be paid to Letterman or how he apologised, no matter how hollow it rings, he still apologised, he did the best he can do: Two wrongs don&#039;t make a right.

Having said that, I still want to see all involved with Imus&#039; firing with their heads on a stick, for all the obvious first amendment reasons, but it doesn&#039;t mean I should have my way on that.

Letterman goes, he stays, makes no difference to me, he went downhill decades ago: he still should not be &#039;fired&#039; over this. Check out Greg Gutfeld&#039;s take on this. Letterman should be quietly shunned.

I don&#039;t want to engage in the kind of vindictive fascism of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, despite any temptation to do likewise as they do.</description>
