Megan McArdle and other libertarians went crazy when the University of Chicago and somewhat libertarian economist jumped on the Obama bandwagon. By the way, this is the same guy who told the Canadian government officials that Obama was essentially lying to the blue-collar yahoos in Ohio. The then presidential candidate supposedly had no real interest in enacting protectionist legislation. I have not heard Goolsby’s name mentioned even once since the election.
