I read the book. Are you really sure it's a “strike”?

Feminist rhetoric may be intended to fire up women, but it also has an effect upon men. When a boy grows up hearing feminist rhetoric that women are going to be in charge and that patriarchy is evil, he will naturally avoid acting like a patriarch and expect women to take the kind of initiative that patriarchs of old had once been expected to take. Feminists ought to be embracing male passivity, for they are reaping what they have sown; it's hardly a matter of men discovering their inner Lysistrata.

Expecting boys to act like girls isn't matriarchal, for true matriarchies tend to be very warlike societies whose men have a well developed sense of masculinity. Rather, it is feminized patriarchy. The paradox is that women tend to believe in patriarchy more than men do. The worst misogynists tend to be the feminists themselves – not men. The same women who demand more opportunities for themselves insist upon refusing to marry men with lower status – thus ensuring a massive drop in the birth rate. To women who complain about men who “won't commit”, what are they going to do about it, compose murder ballads about what happens to men who won't marry them?

I can see it now – a rewrite of “Banks of the Ohio” featuring a woman who kills a man because he won't get her pregnant.

Women are marrying the government, which is exactly what the Feminists want.
