We all view these issues through our own lenses. The truth is, there are smear campaigns on both sides…and the truth probably falls somewhere in the middle most of the time. The four candidates are fair game because they put themselves in the spotlight; however as Obama said this week/end, family is off limits. Wives/husbands, children, parents really should be left alone. The news media are reporting this story about Bristol, but for the most part it’s the blogosphere that are really slamming her. The Obama campaign isn’t touching the story.
I will say the one thing that bothers me a bit is that McCain really wanted select Lieberman, the rest of GOP wanted Romney, and Palin was someone whom they settled on. Why didn’t they just agree to go with someone they felt strongly about?? As a woman, I don’t care that she’s a woman, I’d prefer a VP pick that the GOP really believed in.
