This does not indicate that this christian conservative family is normal and one of us (chrisitan conservative community). As a christian conservative I am obviously very please that the daughter is having the baby. However, she should not have been having pre-marital sex to begin with. This is the root of the problem. Let’s not dodge this issue. I am appalled that christian conservatives are not heavily criticizing the family for not keeping a better eye over their daughter and more effectively counseling her about pursuing abstinence. This is a must. Without this, obviously the risk of abortions increases and possibly other deviant behavior. Why didn’t the parent do a better job? How good of an eye are they keeping over their kids? What else are they letting their kids do? I think this should make us question the values and judgment of the parents. This type of behavior – while common and maybe normal in the US – is repulsive, the type of behavior you see from liberals, and excuses that liberals would use if it happened to them. I’m afraid that there might be other things from the past about this family that might make us question their christian conservative credentials. I hope not.Herby
