It is a non-event that her daughter is pregnant. Girls of 17 are considered mature minors. Seventeen year olds have been getting pregnant & married for centuries. Some wed, some do not. Most teenagers are “having sex”, it is not BIG news. It’s just L-I-F-E.
I find it hypocritical that the Democrats are going to use this as a smear machine. Democrats are for giving children “sex” education in school, handing out condoms, and supporting alternative lifestyles. How many Democrats lost their virginity at or before 17? Didn’t Obama say in Saddleback interview that we should be supportive of unwed mothers? Now, “He” is ready to pound the first stone. Hypocrite.
I am joyous and hopeful for Palin’s daughter and her new marriage. True, she has a mountain larger than Everest to climb. But, if she is a chip off her mother’s block, she will succeed.
