Governor Palin sure seems capable of handling herself on the national stage given what I’ve seen so far. One can’t be certain but I’ll trust McCain’s judgment – he’s the one placing the bet, after all.
I see a tough road for Mr. First Dude, Todd Palin, and the rest of the family. I wouldn’t want that job. Snotty reporters will try to humiliate him at every turn, trying to get some damaging soundbite out of him. Porno fans are already searching for salacious photos of his wife. Seems like his first impulse will be to kick some butt but he’ll have to smile and walk quietly behind her.
However, most Americans will admire the family and see them as a exemplar. The MSM and Obama campaign will do everything possible to destroy them.
