This is a very interesting choice, and shows some imagination. Despite the fact that 95% of her experience consists of being on the city council of a town of 5,000, or serving as its mayor which is of similar status, there is every reason to expect she will rise to the occasion and capably serve as McCain’s running mate. Whether the American people, in fact, are willing to have her a heartbeat from the presidency, is something we will find out on November 4th. Despite her credentials as a gun-toting beauty queen and mother of five including a special needs child, the jump from Alaska governor to Vice President is an even bigger leap than the one she made last year from Wasilla to the Alaska statehouse. But the race just got more interesting.
