Barack Obama Reveals His Steel

I missed it, sadly. Did he wear a toga? Was the Pope there to confirm his sainthood?

Did he talk about the “surprising” 3.3% jump in the U.S. GDP? Or did he not have time to work that into his sermon?

Did he note that the only people “surprised” by this economic news are the ones who’ve ignored the last 7+ straight years of economic growth… like his drooling, leg-tingling lapdogs in the media?

Did he mention that the last seven years of consistent U.S. economic growth resulted directly from the policies of the current administration, which reversed the recession caused by President Bush’s predecessor? (that would be a real recession, not the imaginary one the media’s been “reporting” for months now)

Or did he just try to “blame” the public’s ignorance about the economy on Bush… I mean McCain? (…these days they’re awfully hard to tell apart) That would have been honest, at least.

Did he give any update on the progress of his attempts to silence a private citizen using his power as a U.S. Senator?

Did he read aloud from his threatening letters to the DOJ, or explain why he didn’t first go through the FEC? Did he note that his complaint is not about any federal crime, but one he’s fabricated against a 501(c)(4) organization’s legal sponsorship of an ad that is accurate in every detail?

Did he happen to mention what’s so damaging about an examination of his relationship with Ayers and his chairmanship of Annenberg that he’s willing to risk having his candidacy destroyed by the blowback from this ill-advised legal action when it fails?

Did he mention that threatening letters from the government are the sort of “freedom” we can expect if we dissent under an Obama regime?

But I digress…

Good for Barack.

Now his list of “accomplishments” includes:

- a speech he gave in 2002
- a speech he gave in 2008
- a failed education “reform” program that was co-founded by a Marxist who still thinks he didn’t do enough domestic terrorism against Americans in his youth
- a fawning media that is an embarrassment to journalism (which, these days, takes some real doing)
- the first threat in recent memory by a sitting U.S. Senator to abrogate the First Amendment Rights of a U.S. Citizen

Quite the resumé.

The only “steel” shown by the Obama campaign so far is in the water pails the dying legacy media have been using to carry water for him.
