“Is Jewishness an ethnicity or just mere a religion?”
Well, that’s a matter of opinion, I reckon.
IMO, you’re a Jew if you do what Jews were chosen to do, which is to keep and guard God’s law. If you do that, then you’re a Jew, no matter who your parents were, and no matter what some theologian (or Adolf Hitler) says.
A lot of people who call themselves Jews wouldn’t agree with that, but I don’t much care what they think. I don’t answer to them, only to God.
Same thing for being a Christian. You can be baptized in the Church of St. Nicholas, as Vladimir Lenin was, only that won’t make you a Christian…you actually have to ACT like a Christian and do what Jesus told you to do, in order to be a Christian.
If you ask me, Karl Mark, Leon Trotsky, Vlad Lenin and Joey Stalin were neither Jews nor Christians (I was just yanking some chains when I called Lenin and Stalin nice Christian boys, because they were neither nice nor Christian…too bad the point I was making went right over the heads of the Jew-hater contingent, but, that’s life, I guess). They threw that all away when they became Godless communists. But, that’s just my opinion. You’ll have to ask God to find out for sure, he’s the final authority on these matters.
