Amazing! It would seem that both Malkin and Jones had a similar purpose, even if aligned with opposing agendas. That is, to portray the particular event’s sponsors as irrelevant and counter-productive. And levitating the Mint is hardly as pertinent as the deeper intellectual debate that Malkin was not ready to entertain.
