We are low on the list of life expectancy because we count violent death into the average. Other countries count things differently; i.e. they don’t include traffic accidents, homicide, and some don’t count infants until they are a certain age. The figures for the US usually count all of those things – especially when it is left-wingers trying to prove some point about how terrible America is.
When you only count natural causes, the US jumps right up there in the top 5.
