First of all. I’m a fan of Henry Reardon, both the fictional character and the monikered man above! I’m reading the book now! Movie out next week. I am John Galt!

The point is not whether Ahmadinejad is crazy or not. He is! The point is that he believes what he is saying AND that he feels impelled to bring to pass the aforetold return of the Twelfth Imam, which requires that the world be bathed in the blood of Christians and Jews. He feels that it is his divinely-appointed calling to make that occur, and this statement becomes grimly dour when taken in that context!
Like Henry said, this appears to be a veiled admission that Iran has completed their first working nuke. If so, the world is about to become a gravely more serious and dangerous place. I suspect that Iran will wait until it has several more nukes, but these “Twelvers”, as they are called in Iran, are historically unpredictable and volatile! Literally anything could happen!
If/when war erupts in the Middle East, and especially if Iran detonates a nuke, crude oil will reach $300/barrel almost instantaneously! Gasoline will not only cost $7-$10 per gallon, but rationing both by price and by state will be almost immediate. Long lines at the pump will make those of the ’70s Arab oil embargo seem paltry in comparison.
Worse yet, it will cause food prices also to skyrocket. Farmers will be hampered in food production because crude oil is necessary for virtually every stage of production, including tilling soil, planting seed, fertilizing (made from crude oil), and harvesting crops. And that doesn’t even considered manufacturing and trucking/distribution. We would literally be faced with shortages and rationing of food.
Few Americans can remember days of rationing in the USA. We would be soon reacquainted, and it wouldn’t be a pleasant reunion! “Rationing” would be common phraseology overnight as we all are forcefully reintroduced.
Even the Strategic Petroleum Reserve won’t save us. It represents only about a 3-week supply of oil for the United States.
When one considers the potential ramifications of this announcement, any sane and reasoned person should shudder in their shoes!

Thanks to Pajamas Media for posting this news! The MSM will ignore it, or dismiss it, as the insane ramblings of a psychotic maniac, but we mustn’t dismiss the demented one. It would be a grave error of biblical magnitude.
