Good story, Lisa. This does square with what my Arab freinds and acquaintences say and do. However, you are being reckless as to your own safety zipping back and forth to the PA. That’s a good way to get kidnapped or murdered, as not all the locals care if you are “bi-national”, or what your opinions are. And if, G-d forbid, something happens to you because of your risk-taking behavior, my tax dollars will have to pay to save your silly butt or to locate parts thereof.
