Firstly let me state, I don’t support what Alex Jones did there. Not only did he act as a bully, but he wasn’t even on point or factual with his message. If he’d read the book, he would understand it was calling for racial profiling, not internment. However I notice a number of common mistakes in the reporting of the event. Here are my notes on a couple of those.

Calling Alex Jones left wing. He is far more of a libertarian/conservative in the majority of his views. He supported Ron Paul heavily during that campaign.

Associating Jones with the calls to kill Malkin. Jones continually denounces violence, he is interesting in information warfare, not physical warfare to achieve his goals. If you watch the raw footage from other cameras you can see Jones and Rudkowski both telling the man saying kill Malkin to shut up and cool it. Also that man was wearing an Obama hat, and was also shouting “Alex Jones is a capitalist stooge”, so it’s highly unlikely he was on Jones’ team. I suspect he was just one of the trouble maker anarchists looking to stir the pot anyway possible.
