I understand that a lot of American citizens still believe that Iraq had a hand in 9/11 and did indeed have weapons of mass destruction. They did not. If this is your justification for torture, maybe you should catch up with current events.
The atrocities have been documented and have been proven–Abu Graib and Gitmo. Unless you have it in for all persons of Islamic faith, you should know that these atrocities (or ‘excesses’ as you call them) were directed against many persons who were not a threat to our nation. Are the atrocities of the Bush administration worse than the so-called ‘greatest generation?’ Well, yes.
But, again, if you want to advocate for war crimes, don’t whine if your poster girl gets insulted in the streets. I don’t believe anyone laid a hand on princess malkin (per your melodramatic video).
