Ok I watched again and what Stephen Green said was “Hot Air’s Michelle Malkin” not “hot heiress Michelle Malkin.” Don’t why I heard it wrong, I must have had the equalization on my PC’s speakers fouled up.
Regarding internment of Japanese, water boarding, Gitmo, etc., in my opinion there are only a few questions you have to ask yourself to resolve this.
1. Do you consider the so-called “greatest generation” to be great?
2. Does the good the greatest generation achieved in defeating fascism outweigh the excesses (Japanese internment, Firebombing of Hamburg, Dresden, Tokyo and A-bombs on Japan)? There are many more excesses that could be listed, especially if we were to judge the GG by the same standards Alex Jones and his like want to judge the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan and anywhere else.
3. In a fight against the jihadis (who from my perspective seem every bit as evil ideologically as the fascists) are the Bush administration’s excesses worse than the greatest generations?
I would answer yes, yes, no.
