A note to my American brethren: The muppets who posted anti American abuse on the Times website are a tiny percentage of the population here & their views are most emphatically NOT representative of those held by the majority.
As for the questionable age of the Chinese athletes: Does anyone really think the Chinese authorities haven’t made damn sure all their tracks are covered?
In their viewpoint, beating the “round eyes” by whatever means they could get away with is perfectly acceptable if it “saves face.”

Underage athletes
Goes with the fake goods they manufacture & pour into Western economies.
