Mr. Yakov you have misunderstood my purposeful desire for ignorance in these matters since all I have learned is this: if knowing my lineage contributes to ancient feuds going back centuries, then color me an orphan – an American one.
We have made for ourselves a clean slate, a new way of thinking, one that replaced oom pah pah bands with rock and roll.
The more Americans look to the old world and the old ways the bigger losers we are. There’s a theological dogmatist under every rock and they all say they’re right and that I’m ignorant.
If I want to talk to God I’ll stand barefoot in the grass and look at the sky. That all the story I need and it’s a lot; I don’t need to dress it up with superheroes and thunderbolts.
