Branding Israeli communities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as “illegal” is not only false…”
I admit I am confused in regard to the legal position of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. If Israel does not regard the West Bank as its own territory how are the settlements legal and why would opposing them be lumped in with anti-Semitism? I am particularly interested in how depicting the settlements as ‘illegal’ is false.
Can someone explain to me the moral and legal position on this one? I find Israeli long range aims for the West Bank rather scarce to come by in terms of reading material and the same goals and reasoning by Israel’s supporters scarce as well.
