You are reading more into my comment than you should. We are all God’s children; one murder is just as evil as another. But there is nothing quite like antisemitism for self-righteous resentment, except perhaps for anti-Americanism. Antisemitism is hatred of those carry the message that we are all the one God’s children, but that His historical messenger of this truth is this particular people, who were made witness through these prophetic (Biblical) events, which they are particularly charged to remember (or so they insist, in their religious practise which they refuse to merge with the later religions of the West and Islam), and after which the rest of humanity can only know this monotheistic truth (our God is everyone’s God) in a way that can never repeat the historicty or experience of those who knew it first. In short, antisemitism is hatred of those who are seen to be unduly pushy, aggressive, successful, conspiratorial, corrupting, in shaping history. Other forms of racism are generally not a resentment of the unduly successful but of those who are seen to be unduly slow in keeping up with the cutting edge of civilization or history. The implications are accordingly different, and should not be reduced to simple if true pieties about all lives being valuable. All lives are valuable but we all play different (if increasingly interchangeable) roles on the stage of history and life.
