Intellectual honesty has been so diluted and moral ambiguity has so corrupted that many people are willing to discuss enemy propaganda as opposed to simply dismissing it. Thus we sow the seeds of our own destruction. Freedom of speech allows for the utterances of complete nonsense. There is no moral or legal obligation to continue listening once said speech reveals itself to be either evil or factually wrong.
Of course Barak Hussein Obama would differ. He is the ultimate end product of the moral and intellectual dumbing down of America. He sat through twenty years of Jeremiah Wright without a second of protest. He supports the Islamist ” palestine narrative ” without opening a history book. He represents the quintessential New Man.
The great solace is that anyone with a library card understands that this is simply a phase. That the pendulum will ultimately swing the other way. That you can not run, build or lead a country with your eyes closed. And that no matter what false promises are made as to the road newly traveled hitting a pot hole wakes everyone up.
