Hello Omar, Do the citizens of Iraq understand the power they have to influence the actions the elected officials take between elections or do they sit back and just watch those in elected offices without taking any action? Does the constitution of Iraq permit recall proceedures or impeachment processes for use to deal with politicians who act in unethical or illegal ways while in office?? Do the people understand the power of mass protest to influence a governments gross neglect of the peoples interests? It seems to me that the players in Iraq’s politics do not have any concern for the people who elected them and only act to protect their personnel interests. Perhaps the everyday citizens need to make the politicians understand they are to fix problems for the people and not create or become problems themselves. This small, quiet, American voice wishes the people of Iraq strength and courage.
