That’s because those who were playing it just haven’t been as good at it as the masters of years and centuries past.

I’d wager that Rudyard Kipling would know just what to do with both the unpalatable among the rebels and Colonel Qaddafi’s wretched minions.

And then when the smoke had cleared and all the nasty buggers’ corpses were laying about in stinking heaps, he’d pen some verse about it.

A big part of our problem is that we just seem to be too squeamish about using the Tools of Empire.
