David H Dennis – “I don’t think a friendship with Mr Ayers, in and of itself, disqualifies anyone from the Presidency.”

I get your point… kind of. So if John McCain, Mit Romney, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, Rudy Guiliani (scratch Rudy, that wouldn’t happen in a gazillion years) had a close working relationship with an unrepentant domestic terrorist who said “I wish we would havd done more” to terrorize America, that wouldn’t disqualify them in the eyes of the liberal media to be POTUS? Hum, call me naive, but I have a sneaking suspicion anyone within 100 miles of that mess would be effectively disqualified by the media.

Take the recent Ralph Reed double standard. Ralph was buddies with a slippery lobbyist, Jack Abramoff, but was never convicted of any crime himself. Ralph strongly supports John McCain for President and he used his extensive list of contacts to bolster a fundraising dinner recently for John McCain. He didn’t attend the event and he didn’t ask anyone to donate to John McCain, he just wants to help the Republican party. John McCain was harpooned by the liberal media for being in the pocket of Ralph Reed & and convicted felon Jack Abramoff. The implication was of course, how desperately wicked all republicans are and how Ralph Reed’s support of McCain would obviously give us four more years of the failed George Bush policies, and did we mention John McCain is getting money from a convicted felon Jack Abramoff, Jack Abramoff, Jack Abramoff… Jack Abramoff!

The significant point that you did make about Barack Obama’s ideology I think is very accurate. I would disagree with one small point.

David H Dennis – “The reason I go into this in detail is that I believe this is a glimpse of how Obama would run things.”

I don’t think this is a true glimpse of Obama’s “opaqueness.” I’m convinced if BO is elected with a Democrat majority in Congress, we could only hope and dream of opaqueness. Accurate record keeping and accountablity will be completely non-existant to the point of complete blackout(once again, no pun intended).
