The point, Pat, is that REAL believers do not say one thing and do another. In other words, they are not ‘hypocrites’.
Sure there are a LOT of people who claim to be ‘believers’, but if they don’t ‘practice what they preach’, should they be considered to be ‘believers’? I tend to doubt that.
As some Wag put it, around 2000 years ago….
A tree is known by its fruit.
That means what it produces. Not by some sign someone hung on it.
