I disagree with the premise that no Republican can be elected president next year. Giuliani has a good shot if he can survive the primary. Thompson may also have a shot. The key will be communication of ideas to the electorate. Giuliani and Thompson both have excellent communication skills. And part of what the Republican nominee needs to communicate effectively to win is the high price we will pay if we tuck tail between our legs and run from Iraq.
