one can oppose democracy building and not be isolationist.
the grand dream of self selected islam governments was no more practical than the same goals in S.E. asia.
we need to seperate the goal from the idealogy. it was one thing to halt communist hegemoney, and another to try to transform vietnam, laos and cambodia.
same now in the middle east. the issue is sanctuary states. period. stick to that, its winnable, try to dial in a future government, auto loss.
