Obama and Color-Coded Racial Double Talk

You know, recently I came to a sad conclusion: America is not ready for a black president.

But the problem is not on the right. In fact, that is why it took me so long to figure out that it would be this big a problem–because I only looked at the right. But the truth is, the left is too racist to have a black president.

Mind you, they will vote for him, mostly. But the rest of us will listen to this situation and go, wtf? We are not allowed to criticize him without being called a racist? Then f— you dems, we won’t elect him in the first place.

The good news is that I think McCain wil ultimately beat him. And of course the dems will claim for years to come that racism did Obama in. And they will be right. They’ll only be wrong as to which side’s racists were the problem.

But like I said, it is a sad thing. All things being equal, I want a black president. And a woman to be president. And so on. But this is not “all things being equal.” This is the world’s first affirmative action president. You want proof? Ask yourself this. Which white politician is Obama the most like? The obvious answer: John Edwards. He’s a handsome, well spoken (mostly), lawyer of virtually no political experience. Oh, and without the radical associations that are hurting Obama. Oh, and unlike Obama, Edwards was a good lawyer. Now even the democrats are not so lacking in seriousness as to nominate Edwards; but Obama? sure, vote for the unqualified guy because after all, he is black.

And then we are all supposed to pretend that the only concern with obama is the color of his skin. Sheesh. What they are asking for is the opposite of Martin Luther King’s dream: to judge him by the color of his skin and not the content of his character.
