Hey Jimmy, how ya doing? It’s Michael Barkyoumb who worked with you at the YMCA in the 80′s. I saw your articles on the web and it was very timely as we are getting a get together of the former YMCA staff including Garrett, Dale Brandenberg etc.. and though you might want to attend. Here is the message I sent to all of them.
Ok, it looks like most of those who responded to my e-mails/messages about our get together can do it on Saturday March 19th at 4:00 p.m. I am attaching driving directions to my center in Pasadena. I will have some light food as well as a few memorable items from the Y’ days, photo’s, video tapes of the Y’ etc.. Should bring back some interesting memories.
I’m still looking for the following people so if any of you are in contact with them you can give them the information and hopefully they can show up. Robert, can you get in touch with your maintenance crew like Mauricio, Nico etc as well as Jose Virgen and Orlando? Harry can you tell Vartan to be there? Luwanna, if you can get in touch with Gerry Phifer and Ricky. And if anyone can get in touch with others who you think might be interested then let them know. Anyone in touch with George Thibault or Dan Goldstein?
