Giving off an elitist air is not a function of homes owned, having a millionaire brewmeister’s daughter as your spouse etc.
It’s attitudinal.
I’ve been watching and listening to Obama for way (!) too long now to not want to reach for the descriptive words “arrogant” and “elitist”.
In his case, it may be an attitude he adopted to maintain aloofness (thus self-protective), but it rubs me very much the wrong way.
And his wife, eeks ! The analysis she has offered of the modern American citizen is beyond arrogant.
They’re trying hard, behind the scenes, to tone her down.
Can Glen or Jennifer or Rick actually replace the media they disdain?
I don’t think that’s the point.
It’s often more interesting to read thought pieces than account pieces in the so called MSM (where does the dumb phrase “legacy media” come from anyway ?)
And then go on to see what other human beings are thinking on the topic.
