What makes a man or woman qualified to be president? One must be born to U.S. citizens and be at least 35 years old. The person most qualified to be president has nothing to do with noteworthy accomplishments. Wisdom and integrity are the most important character traits. John McCain possesses zero of either of these. Barack Obama might be young, but he understands people, and he understands the international mindset. He will look out for the United States best, b/c he also counts himself a citizen of the world. Look at the recent conflict. Obama called for restraint on both sides and said that we should TALK to the Russians. Funny, isn’t that what the EU decided to do and resolved the conflict? Imagine if we had a president who had been a part of that. That would have INSTANTLY bolstered our credibility with the rest of the world. Instead, what happened? Our president ignored the fact that the Georgian military all but FORCED Russia to attack in order to defend their interests by attacking those who are for all intents and purposes, independent, and poised to return to the Russian Federation. G.W. and Condoleezza kept the same bossy tone that our country has taken for 8 straight years and blindly supported our erring ally. What did John McCain do? He spoke for all Americans saying that we were all behind Georgia. All of us who believe the crap that’s plastered on CNN and Fox News might blindly support their leaders, but anybody with a wit of common sense would reserve such heartily partisan opinions until more reliable information is gained. I have little doubt that “Witless” McCain would have thrown around war ready rhetoric. And for what? To pretend that we are all powerful? To pretend that we rule the world? I pray that God gives the next president honesty and strength, b/c tough times are a brewin’. What happens when Iran calls our bluffs? What happens when the isolated feigned paranoid aggression comes to a dead end? Who will lead us better? Will a man who speaks more about his political opponent than about his own ideas have any vision to lead the nation? It’s so stupid how people are so afraid of having a black leader that they make up excuses to support an old fart! I love older people, and not all of them are farts, but John McCain is a fart, a lying, reckless one at that. I love America, but we need to grow up!
