Hopefully we can regain the “my fellow Americans” mindset. Right now, the “divide and conquer” strategy works well for the politicians. It is their route to more power over the country and it’s citizens. It benefits the political/bureaucratic establishment, who view it as in their own best interests. Bigger government serves their interests, not ours. It will be a long road back.
