Gore seems too arrogant to understand how much he hurts his own cause. The biggest problem with the environmentalist movement is that in large part it’s become a religion for it’s adherents. They have to be shaking their collective heads that their self-appointed prophet appears to the rest of us to be a hypocrite, and turns away many fence-sitters that would otherwise be sympathetic to their cause. Compare him to a guy like Ed Begley Jr, you may not agree with him, but you at least have to respect the man for living out his belief, as far as I can see.
