Yes, we are witnessing the War of the Insane Left, founded upon a swirling mix of deluded political ideas and the determinedly taught inability to accept, forgive and get on with one’s life — the inability to face life, and learn from it, rather than bemoan its “unfairness”. Yet deeper than that, the Right too is at fault, for its long embrace of those who want only War with the Left — a case of self-fulfilling prophecy in America. Dig deeper, and you will find it all comes from the obscene belief, by both Left and Right, in Darwinian “survival of the fittest.” It is a demonstrably incompetent belief upon which to build a healthy society, and it is untrue — but who now will listen to that truth? Ah, there’s the rub. There will be peace when all can agree that Darwin was a fool, not a genius.
