I was not aware that Thereseisenstadt was open at that late date. I thought that the “showplace” of Nazi kindness to the Jews had been evacuated much earlier for such places as Dachau or Austschwitz. Just the names of such places leaves a chill in my spine as I mourn family I will never know.
