The 2 closest wins were turned in by Bush the Younger. The only other victory under TRIPLE DIGITS in the last 10 cycles was Carter’s over Ford. 2 of the victories were by more then 600 EV’s.
So I don’t know where you got this close election thingie, but they were lying to you. Check your wallet.
I didn’t bother to average the numbers, but at a glance the ‘typical’ election is about a 200 EV Victory. Remember, Politics is a zero-sum game.
