This is my first time here. What a delight to read not only a great article but all the well thought out posts that followed. I am old enough to have lived through a lot of those times and have also watched the decline of our great country.Everyone talks of their worry for their children but fails to own up to the fact that they kept those same children sheltered from the action going on around them. It is partly our fault for not paying closer attention to what held our kid’s attention but it also falls on them for being so self absorbed. Will there be a comeback?? I don’t know about you folks but I’m waiting for that trumpet to sound the end and eternity begins!!!
