“Some people talk about “civil war” among people who hold different party affiliation, or about exercising their “second amendment rights” and they don’t really know what they’re talking about.”
Gtg, “some people” do a lot of things. “Some people” like to spread feces on walls too, but there are not too many of that type posting on PJM (just the rare liberal who wanders in without facts or clues but plenty of anti-conservative prejudice and venom).
Similarly, there are not too many conservatives who want to gun down their neighbors in the streets for having different opinions. That would be the New Black Panthers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright zombies, etc–radical leftists that LIBERALS welcome into their political bed. There is NO radical right group welcome at any of the PACs I attend. The most violent thing we do is insist on praying.
Secession is a States’ rights issue, lawful and peaceful. It’s kind of like a divorce. When one spouse decides living together has become unbearable, he/she applies for a legal divorce. If the other spouse remains ratonal and peaceful, so does the divorce. However, if the “spurned” party becomes enraged, “war” ensues, and it is not the fault of the original petitioner for the divorce.
If the practically inevitable “splitting of the sheets” of the 2 halves of America comes to bloodshed, it will be the “divorced Left” that will fire the first shots, refusing to let its abused mate go peacefully.
