Yes, nationalism and ideology out of Europe are the source of this self-inflicted wound. Socialist economics, the Left’s aggressive cultural suicide, and “declinism” are the opiates that resulted. There is no energy in Europe to deal with this, despite a few good leaders. Russian dominance and ambition, cultural intolerance, and ruthless leadership are their best hope. We should cut Europe loose, come home, throw out illegals, encourage desirable immigrants from many differing cultures–except Muslim, treat Islam exactly as Christianity is treated in the Arab world, then focus on cleaning up our own Left ideological infection here–which came from Europe. Yes, I know: VERY un-PC. There is still hope for this country if we set to it with a will immediately, though we are not hurt or scared enough yet to unite and impose it. The politicians continue to divide and defy us to their advantage. Look for business as usual out of Washington at least until after 2012.
