As always, great civilizations destroy themselves. They are not overrun by invading barbarians. We had our moments, indeed our centuries. But it is over… and the decline accelerates. Consider that the Welfare State did in a half century what slavery could not do in more than two centuries –destroy the black family.
The only question is what is the end state. Something stable or an explosive singularity.
