Implied but not explicitly stated in your article is the third reason the West is dying – demographics.
With Europeans (and Canadians and Japanese for that matter), having 1.3-1.5 children per woman, they are losing 1/3 of their indigenous people every 25 years, while importing Muslims with higher birth rates who plan to replace these cultures, not assimilate into them. (Except Japan and Korea, of course, which have simply decided to grow old and die as unicultural societies).
This is due to a combination of hostility toward religion, feminism and socialism, and is too late to reverse.
So the answer is no, the West cannot pull itself together. I admit I won’t cry over Europe, but the March of Islamization is going to force a nuclear war that will likely end ALL civilization.
