Here is the money quote in this piece: “That writing is a way of warring for better days.” That is not your or anyone’s job at a newspaper. Your job is to tell your readers the truth, as best you can, as difficult as that might be. The LA Times (and NYT) deserve to die, and, hopefully be replaced with equally august institutions committed to reporting the facts.
