Everybody knows that the papers are basically subsidiaries of the Democratic Party. People simply got fed up with the constant pushing for pc and multiculturalism and embrace of every leftist cause that popped up.
The internet finally gave people a means to really see the lies and bias exposed in a clear, concise manner and the light of day is disinfecting the industry.
