As soon as I read a post that shouts “red baiting” I pretty much know that the article touched a raw nerve. These people really, really have a problem with being open and honest about who they are and what they believe in. I know this, because I lived it firsthand years ago. In fact, the bookish, honest guy I was wanted to chat about Marxist theory with people who went to the CISPES rallies on campus and elsewhere, but the Communist leaders of the activist groups warned me not to be so honest about who we were. They said it would give the cause bad press and scare away new recruits. In other words, I was told to STFU.
These people are practiced in deception. And they don’t like it one bit when they are called out.
