Just because you lack the wit to see that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Saddam is dead. I know this may come as a shock to you, but dead dictators are a threat to no one.
Now Iraq can try to build a democratic state. Not much the USA can do there, beyond what we have already done. We can depose dictators, track them down and hang them, but democracy has to be earned by those that value freedom.

If not Iraq, where? Iraq was a chance for us to win. We will NOT win in Afghanistan. Not for another 60 years or so. If then. The American public doesn’t have the gumption to stick it out over 3 generations. The terrs do.
We HAVE to fight somewhere. If we don’t it’s called surrender. If that seems like a good idea to you, tell your girl friend she needs to start shopping for a Burkka and see what she thinks about that surrender thingie.
