The world’s greatest Pinot Noirs don’t come from Oregon, but from California as do most of the truly great vintages. The greatest Pinot Noirs come from Carneros, or the Russian River Valley, or perhaps even the Santa Lucia Highlands, but they assuredly do not come from Oregon.
