The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is the big labor union behind the constant Wal-Mart bashing. They are absolutely desperate to get their hands into the pockets of Wal-Mart’s workers.
Wal-Mart became the biggest retailer in the world for one (1) reason only: they give their customers what the customers want, and they do it better than their competitors.
And as a matter of fact, for comparable work Wal-Mart workers are better paid, and receive better benefits than the employees of Target, Costco (yes, Costco), Home Depot and other big-box retailers. That’s why over 11,000 prospective employees applied at the Chicago store opening last year — for 600 job openings.
I don’t shop at Wal-Mart and I own no Wal-Mart stock. But I know a bogus attack when I see one.
