Who paid for that? And, more to the point, how much would you have been out-of-pocket if you had been working at Wal-Mart at the time?

Except for that pesky $72/month (assuming you get paid monthly) and $20 per doctor’s visit and $47 per prescription.
But look on the bright side: at least you’re not working at Costco, where the average worker with 3 years’ seniority earns $42,000 and has 92% of his or her health-care costs paid for. Oh, the humanity!
